Notes Manager 1.0
Notes Manager is for Adobe InDesign CS and Adobe InCopy CS. SoftCare Notes Manager enables editorial staff to communicate more efficiently using in-line notes, as displaying and navigating notes is made faster and more convenient.
The standard InDesign and InCopy notes feature enables users to create and edit in-line notes for their own reference or in order to exchange information with other users. SoftCare Notes Manager enhances this functionality by making all notes available in a single list. SoftCare Notes Manager offers filters for displaying notes created by a specific user, or notes edited within a certain timeframe, offering a quick overview of all relevant notes. You can see at a glance, for example, what notes your co-worker added to a file the previous day.
What is more, SoftCare Notes Manager also makes it easier to navigate within the document. Clicking on an entry in the SoftCare Notes Manager palette selects the corresponding notes anchor on the page and vice versa. Double clicking an entry in the SoftCare Notes Manager palette will open the standard Adobe notes palette where you can edit or delete the note, or convert it to text.
In an editorial environment, where several people collaborate on the same text over time, SoftCare Notes Manager will quickly become an indispensible tool for reliably and efficiently exchanging suggestions and instructions.
SoftCare Overset Manager
(formerly called Text-O-Meter)
The SoftCare Overset Manager plug-in for Adobe InDesign CS and Adobe InCopy CS gives you complete control over text length and text overset, enabling you to count, display, edit and print overset text. SoftCare Overset Manager can automatically show or hide overset frames, making it easy to spot instances of text overset on an InDesign file and helping to prevent costly mistakes.
You can measure the length of text in the current selection, text column or text flow, and see values for the text that fits in the text frames as well as for overset text, separately. The SoftCare Overset Manager palette allows you to measure the current text selection against the remaining amount of overset text for easy and precise copyfitting.

With its multilevel security controls and robust customization options, K4 supports a transparent and secure production workflow for individual workgroups or entire publishing enterprises across multiple locations. One of the hallmarks of K4 is its open SQL interface, enabling other systems such as asset management or automated prepress to be linked to K4.
