Washington, D.C. InDesign User GroupMeeting Notes Archive
June 13, 2007
Another well-attended meeting with real “meat,” on the theme of “Scripting is your friend…really!”
Chuck Weger provided a gentle introduction to scripting. He demonstrated some of the Adobe samples along with a selection of his own, showing how they worked under the hood.
Lynn Grillo built upon Chuck’s presentation by showing some sample scripts that ship with InDesign and some of the automation scripts in Bridge. She concluded by introducing the concept of InDesign’s rules-based processing engine and XML in InDesign.
Our thanks to Laura d’All for hosting in Ken Chaletzky's absence. We also appreciated the hard work of Eddie Edell, Noha’s son, for his assistance in registration and the awarding of door prizes. And many thanks to Noha Edell for keeping things going.
