One of the best presentations ever.
Attendee
Around 200 enthusiastic people showed up to hear Claudia McCue, noted author and instructor. As usual, the evening started with pizza, fruit, cookies and drinks. 30 large pizzas were devoured along with hundreds of cookies and drinks. A hungry group—and not just for food, but for knowledge. And, we got our money's worth when Claudia's presentation began at 7:00 p.m. sharp.
She began with a demonstration of PDF2ID a nifty plug-in that converts PDF files into InDesign documents. While not 100% accurate, it was nearly so with many types of documents. Sometimes all you have is a PDF and it may seem you have a lot of work ahead of you. PDF2ID can save you hours or days. SPECIAL OFFER FOR OUR GROUP ONLY: If you'd like to purchase PDF2ID at a discount, go to: www.recosoft.com/pdf2id_dc_special.htm. You can also go to: www.recosoft.com/products/pdf2id/index.htm to find a trial version. Just choose your platform and then click on "Trial Software."
After the demo, Claudia got into the meat of her presentation showing us how easy it could be to include audio and video in our InDesign documents, add hyperlinks and buttons and more. Then those same capabilities would be transferred to the final PDF. Claudia invites your comments and questions. Just visit her site at www.claudiamccue.com.

Our next meeting is scheduled for May 14th, so mark your calendar now. It will be another great session lead by Michael Murphy, host and creator of "The InDesigner" podcast (www.theindesigner.com).
The evening meeting will be preceded with an all-day session present by Michael entitled, "The Book" (and other long documents).
This is another "won't-want-to-miss" double-header from your DC-Area InDesign User Group.
