InDesign’s Top 21 Presets and The Best of CS4 Presets are time-saving preference automations occurring all throughout InDesign. Join Mike Witherell, Adobe Certified Expert, as he takes us on a tour of all the various presets hiding within InDesign’s interface. You’ll see presets that are familiar, new, and totally obscure. Mike will also answer questions about which preset preferences get preserved—and which get trashed—when you delete and reset preferences. He will show you how to protect and preserve the many preference presets you have patiently built in your installed copy of InDesign, so that you can maximize your production efficiency. After this, as time permits, we’ll do a segment on the newest features of InDesign CS4. For those of you that attended our highly successful CS4 Launch, some of this may be repetitive, but I’ll bet you’ll hear something new. This is our last meeting for 2008, so please help us end a very successful year for the largest InDesign User Group in the World! The Answer Desk “The Answer Desk” will return as a regular feature of DC-Area InDesign User Group meetings. During the refreshment hour, “The Answer Desk” will be staffed by professional trainers provided by EEI Communications and our own membership. Bring your InDesign questions to these folks and get an answer while chewing on a slice of pizza. This is a perfect time to ask those questions you don’t want to bring up before a group. Challenge them! Bring it on!! They’re ready for you. Of course, there will be plenty of food and drink before the meeting starts. The U.S. Navy Memorial Auditorium is conveniently located atop its own Metro station (Navy Memorial/Archives). Discount evening parking is available in the building (garage entrance on D Street) and at other nearby buildings. Parking meter enforcement extends to 9:30pm, so skip the meters.
