Incredibly great info. Bring Chris back soon.
U.S. Navy Memorial Auditorium
Event DetailsThe June meeting of the DC-Area InDesign User Group was another resounding success. About 200 people showed up to hear Chris Converse show us how InDesign is really the Swiss Army Knife of layout programs. Whether it’s to be printed, turned into an ePub, or put up on the Internet, InDesign is your starting point. Create a document in InDesign and then point it to the desired final product or products. Attendees were awed by how flexible InDesign is in these matters. And, while no one will remember all the tips and methods Chris used, just knowing what’s possible will get you started on the right path. What a great way to head off to summertime!
"Really covered a lot of material in a compressed time. His explanations are clear and easily understandable."
"Chris is even better in person."
"Loved the quick tour and can't wait to try some of this out. Great presentation!"
"Why did I arrive tonight feeling like an 'intermediate' and leave feeling like a 'beginner'? But at least I leave with some inspiration. Chris Converse Rocks! Wow."
"Phew! Excellent night! Incredible high-speed presentation; much to absorb."
Our fall season will start with another exciting program. We are fortunate to have secured Michael Murphy for another all-day event on Monday, September 19.
While the plans are not finalized, here’s the proposed program:
What do Text Variables, Find/Change, Anchored Objects, Tables of Contents, HTML Export, Live Captions, Cross-references, and Multi-state Objects have in common? They're all made more powerful and efficient by InDesign's robust styles. In this day-long event, author, designer, and podcast host Michael Murphy reveals the full scope of InDesign's most powerful under-the-hood feature. Learn how you can maximize styles to boost your efficiency and transform your workflow from print to the web, to EPUB, to interactive PDF, and beyond.
