Great presentation of tips and new features. Would have taken months to find all these! Can’t wait to get CS5.

Meeting Summary: Back to Work with InDesign

Tue, Sep 14th, 2010 at 6:00 PM

U.S. Navy Memorial Auditorium

Event Details

Over 150 people showed up for the September meeting, and they were treated to two excellent presenters.

The first thing people noticed is that our pizzas now come from Papa John's. Seems that the Manhattan Deli has closed its doors. While Papa John's is OK, there was something really "New York" about Manhattan's Pizza. After renewing acquaintances and chewing on the tasties, we got down to business

Anne-Marie (Her Geekness) Concepcion reviewed her five best-kept secrets about InDesign CS5. She was in town for "InDesign Secrets LIVE!" and we were fortunate enough to snag her for a little bit to start off the evening. In addition to the five secrets, we heard a little other industry gossip. You had to be there.

Continuing on with the theme of helpful hints, Mike Witherell of JetSet Communications, spoke on "Little Things." He demonstrated a whole list of useful little tips, none of which was particularly earth-shattering. But when you start using these little goodies you find that a five-hour project now only takes four.
