We’re starting off the new decade with a dazzling duo of speakers. 2010 has got to be better than 2009, but we’re all going to have to be more productive if we’re going to be successful. Our speakers are all about productivity. FLOW from GRIDIRON We are fortunate to have secured Steve Forde, CEO of GridIron Software, as our lead-off speaker. He’ll be with us to discuss how the recently launched Flow can help you collaborate with others, manage your time, and make money, with features like Share Maps (giving networked colleagues instant access to any file, regardless of where it’s stored or who created it), and Adobe CS4 Flow Flash Panel, which puts Flow at your fingertips inside your favorite Adobe apps like ID, AI, PS, FL, DW and FW. Here’s what some people have said: "GridIron Flow went from 'What the heck does this program do?' to 'I can't live without it' -- Jan Ozer, Digital Content Producer "Groundbreaking technology that fulfills a genuine need within the creative community." -- Neil Bennett, Digital Arts JAVASCRIPTS are PAINLESS… …especially when someone else has written them for you. Most people know that Javascripts can really make life easy, but most of us don’t know how to write one. And, after this session, you still won’t. What you will know is where to find some really nifty Javascripts, already written and tested and ready for you to use. Mike Witherell of JetSet Communications, one of our favorite speakers, will show you where to find many useful Javascripts and how to put them to work. You’ll save hours and hours, while making tedious or complex tasks much easier. You’ll end this session walking away with stuff you’ll be able to use the next day. You’ll get the kudos and your boss and clients will be none the wiser. PRIZE DRAWING As usual, we will conclude the evening with a drawing for lots of great prizes, including a copy of InDesign CS4. THE ANSWER DESK “The Answer Desk” will be open for your toughest InDesign questions. During the refreshment hour, “The Answer Desk” will be staffed by professional trainers provided by EEI Communications and our own membership. Bring your toughest InDesign questions to these folks and get an answer while chewing on a slice of pizza. This is a perfect time to ask those questions you don’t want to bring up before a group. Challenge them! Bring it on!! They’re ready for you. Of course, there will be plenty of food and drink before the meeting starts. And, we’ll close the meeting with drawings for lots of goodies including software, books and t-shirts and more. Be cool, keep warm and join us on January 20. ========================= Agenda ========================= 6:00pm: Refreshments (pizza, drinks and more) 7:00pm: Meeting 9:00pm: Adjourn The U.S. Navy Memorial Auditorium is conveniently located atop its own Metro station (Navy Memorial/Archives).
