We had two great meetings this past July 25 and 26.
On this second night, Michael Ninness gave a great presentation on blend modes in Photoshop® CS2. The three modes he emphasized were screen (ignores black, makes things lighter), multiply (ignores white, makes things darker), and overlay (combo ignores gray, makes things lighter or darker, increases contrast).
We all really enjoyed the tidbits of additional information Michael threw in as he worked with his photo examples in the different blend modes. For example, he showed us the perspective option, which allows you to drag the edges one by one to distort your selected crop area.
Some comments from the meeting:
"Thank you, Mike.
...phenomenal...entertaining presenter"
Kirsten
"Great topic. I never cared for blending modes. Now I want to use them more."
Massiel
Michael wanted to let you all know that special offers from Lynda.com await you in your member area.
The evening concluded with a raffle. Many were surprised to find that the InDesign® meetings are FREE events. Please encourage friends, family, and colleagues to attend our events in the future.
