Meeting details

At our last meeting, our production folks planned a fantastic 15 Minutes Of Fame talk and encouraged an engaging chat about transparency and other output issues.

For this meeting, the creatives have a turn! This time it'll be 60 Minutes Of Fame, shared four ways: each of 4 of our members will share 15 minutes with us. Then, after the break, we'll be treating to a long-requested discussion of things typographic with Thomas Phinney, Adobe's Product Manager for Fonts & Global Typography! Thomas will get 45 minutes so he can answer some of our questions.

His topic? OpenType. What is it? What are the major layout features that are supported in InDesign, including the newer ones such as "stylistic sets"? Also he'll show the more unusual things people are doing with OpenType, culminating with some "really weird stuff."

Liz Martini will capture images, and Edward Charles Jr. wlll be our videographer!
