Bay Area InDesign User GroupMeeting Notes Archive
Wednesday, November 6, 2002
This was the inaugural meeting of the San Francisco/Bay Area InDesign user group (BayIDUG).
We had a great turnout over 80 people. Adobe provided pizza and soft drinks. Thanks!
The feature presentation of InDesign’s transparency features, by Steve Holmes of Total Training, enlightened us to the possibilities of this powerful group of tools. We had oodles of raffle goodies donated by Adobe, Total Training, Macy’s, and Peachpit Press.
The Q&A discussion was especially valuable, as there were so many experts available, including quite a few Adobe people, Steve of Total Training, and service provider Alex Lankston of Pacific Digital Image.
Special thanks to Adobe’s Alan Felgate for all his work in helping to make this happen and schlepping all the soft drinks.
We now have over 160 people in our database, and great topics lined up, including PDF and OpenType.
