David Healy has been involved in this technology since the beginning. He was a test site for the first three versions of PageMaker and Illustrator. In 1986 he hosted the first Desktop Publishing conference. That same year he started the Desktop Publishing program at the Academy of Art in San Francisco where he taught for six years. He also taught Desktop Publishing for UC Extension and consulted for companies including: the Gap, Banana Republic, Mix Publications, Sharper Image and many others.
He has a graphic design business named, FIRST IMAGE that he started in 1981 Their clients include: LifeScan, Apple, Addison Wesley, PG&E to name a few.
