Chris Converse, Graphic Designer, traveled back to his alma mater, before the snow flew, to present “Creating Interactive PDFs using InDesign as the authoring tool” to more than 60 eager attendees.
InDesign CS2 functions put forth in Chris’ presentation included:
- Use of programming on master pages
- Links
- Buttons
- Rollovers
- Nested master pages
- Creation of table of contents and auto creation of links
- Embedding Quicktime movies
Moving on to Photoshop CS2, Chris presented:
- Layer comp sets
- Photoshop files imported into InDesign and “object layer options”
- Font editing
- Rotations
Chris wrapped up his presentation with a sneak peek at Acrobat 8, just before its release:
- Acrobat Connect
- Combining files (PDF, .jpg, .ai, .indd, and more)
- Reader 8 new features
The crowd was thrilled with Chris’ presentation. Feedback included the following comments:
