Event DetailsOur InDesign User Group Summer Series concluded at the NRCS offices with a demonstration of the synergy between Adobe InDesign and Acrobat.
Jim Cooper (Apsiva), our chairperson, started us off with a demonstration of button-building techniques. Little Zak made an appearance, and we discussed the many practical ways to create, duplicate, and re-use buttons. Most encouraging was the concept of replacing conventional presentation software files with interactive PDF.
Mike Wilhelm (from CASAT) gave us the benefit of his experience with the many options for distributing the forms, along with methods for collecting, tracking, and compiling data from his on-line responding audience.
We had time for a few Q&As on a variety of topics, like adding/removing words from a dictionary, sharing swatches between CS applications and multiple users, and allowing RTF styling within fill-able PDF forms.
Kelly and Rose were our raffle winners.

The Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies provides training, technical assistance, evaluation, research, and other services to support prevention, treatment and recovery from alcohol and drug addictions. CASAT is part of the Division of Health Sciences at the University of Nevada, Reno and houses two major substance abuse disorder national programs: (MWATTC) and (WCAPT).
