Event Details

Our final meeting for 2009 started with an overview of 2010, as seen by our chapter rep, Jim Cooper. Our group has experienced continued excitement over the techniques we've shared on the creation and distribution of interactive PDFs.

Just a few of the things we will continue to build on next year:

1. How interactive PDF functionality has given birth to a series of new publications.

2. How to infuse an ordinary print layout with additional color and interactive elements, before creating a PDF version.

3. How to empower InCopy Users to author their own interactive documents.

4. How to create, maintain, and brand electronic publications.

5. How to streamline print production and beat your competitors to market.

6. How to publish more in 2010 with fewer resources.

During our second half of the session, we saw how to flow spreadsheet tables directly into InDesign layouts and adjust several column dimensions / cell attributes simultaneously.

We also got some insight into the relationship between paragraph styles, cell styles, and table styles.

Our brief Q&A touched on establishing hard-working defaults for text and tables, plus some of the basics for Data Merge.

Tim was the lucky winner of Adobe InDesign CS4.

Our raffle proceeds, once again, are winging their way to the Bring Bri Justice foundation.

Thank you

To Liz Warner and Rose Santos

Also to Adobe (and our gracious User Group cousins in Indianapolis, Puerto Rico, and Munich) for their continued support.

And, we are grateful to Peachpit Press (www.peachpit.com), and Apsiva (www.apsiva.com) for their generosity.
