Portland InDesign User GroupMeeting Notes Archive
March 8, 2007
On March 8th we had 42 people in attendance as our new Chapter Representative, Paul Erdman, presented "Learning to Fly: Transparency and Preflight in InDesign." We discussed transparency flattening: why it has to happen, what it does to your document, possible consequences, how to detect problems before going to press, and the correct ways to implement transparency so you never see those problems again. The topic was well received, and interest was high. We will likely revisit the topic in future meetings.
At this meeting, we also announced a new leadership committee for the group, the purpose of which will be to assist with planning and facilitating future meetings. Following the meeting, volunteers stepped up to fill all the requested positions (thank you so much!). And of course we also had great food and raffle prizes.
