October's meeting was an exciting meeting for those wanting to learn the ins and outs of InDesign® tables. Paul Erdman, an InDesign Certified Expert and Trainer, shared valuable tips for editing and formatting tables, copying and pasting table data, and using the Table palette and menu effectively.
In addition, Paul presented two amazing plug-ins from Teacup Software: TableStyles and CellStyles Pro. Together they take tables to the next level by allowing you to save the cell and table formatting you've worked so hard on into a style. This way you can apply all that formatting in just a single click. Later, when you need to update the formatting of a table, simply update the style and that change will globally update your document wherever it has been applied.
