We had an incredible showing of over 60 people who came to discover the new features that InDesign® CS2 has to offer. It's amazing how fast our group has grown in less than one year!

Lisa Forrester, of Adobe Systems, began by introducing the new Adobe Bridge file browser that works with each application in Adobe Creative Suite 2. It offers centralized control over every aspect of your projects, from file searches and file management to color settings.

She went on to introduce object styles, which allow you to apply and globally update object-level formatting efficiently. This will allow you to create more-consistent designs and speed up your productivity as well.

She also showed the layer support and layer comp support for native files inside InDesign, as well as for layers in PDF files. This will offer users greater flexibility in their design.

Also discussed were snippets, a unique way to share InDesign content with colleagues.

Many text-import changes, as well as quick-apply, were also discussed.

Thanks

Thanks for the prizes!
Thanks to Adobe, Adobe Press, Total Training, StockLayouts, and Kitchen Wisdom, people walked away with some great software, books, and training resources.

And thanks for the help!
Special thanks to Suzan Reed for picking up Lisa from the airport. Thanks to Richard Cork for running the show. Thanks to everyone else who volunteered to help out during the meeting. This help is really important in making the meeting easier to run and organize. We also thank Urban Grind for the great facility, food, and coffee.
