September 13, 2007
Guest speaker Lisa Forester, from Adobe Systems, revisited the IDUG Portland Chapter with the topic of Transparency Effects and Applications. With an ever-evolving commitment to its customers, Adobe has charged its Creative Suite 3 to minimize the problems relating to printing and the handling of transparencies, such as undesired color conversions, rasterization of elements, artifacts, and slow print and processing times.

This InDesign User Group meeting began with a four-hour training seminar that laid out the latest and greatest facets of Adobe Creative Suite 3. Of course, the issue of project workflow management was key to the seminar, and host Paul Erdman, along with special guest speaker Gabriel Powell, were up to the challenge.

October's meeting was an exciting meeting for those wanting to learn the ins and outs of InDesign tables. Paul Erdman, an InDesign Certified Expert and Trainer, shared valuable tips for editing and formatting tables, copying and pasting table data, and using the Table palette and menu effectively.
