Meeting Summary: What InDesign can do for you !

Thank you to everyone who attended the first-ever meeting of the Port Elizabeth InDesign User Group! There were 38 of you — very impressive.

We briefly covered the following topics:

• InDesign is so much more than a print design tool - you can export to Flash, create Interactive PDFs and slideshows, create EPUB documents and more ...

• The Help menu including Community Help

• The Share My Screen feature

• Simple Data Merge

• Setting InDesign and Document Defaults

• Neaten your text using Optical Margin Alignment and Balance Ragged Lines.


For our next meeting, we will look at some of your requests and tackle Find and Replace with GREP.

The highlight of the evening was Mark Gogos walking off with a full version of InDesign. Well done, Mark! Next meeting we hope to have a few additional prizes as well as another Adobe software package.

Remember, to be eligible to win the Premium package at the end of the year you need to have attended 2 of the 4 meetings we hope to hold this year.
