Meeting Summary: The best of Adobe Creative Suite 4

Event DetailsA big thank you to everyone who attended the first Perth InDesign UserGroup meeting.
The launch of the Perth InDesign User Group was a great success.
Prior to moving across to the actual lecture theatre for a lively introduction to InDesign CS4, all attendees mingled and enjoyed a drink and a slice of pizza. The room was buzzing.
The start of the event was launched with a special video recording from Adobe's Mike McHugh, who due to heavy workload wasn't able to make it to the Perth launch event. Mike introduced everyone to the new CS4 icons and a little Adobe Bridge CS4 and Photoshop CS4's Content Aware Scaling.
Following Mike's video recording, Cari Jansen did the honours of showing Perth the best of InDesign CS4. The enthusiasm for what was new in InDesign CS4 was great.
Everyone was introduced to the new user interface, changes to the Links panel, Smart Guides and Smart Spacing, Spread Rotation, Cross-references, Conditional Text, GREP Styles, Smart Reflow, the new interactive Preflight feature, many of the new interactive features that allow us to create SWF files with page curls from InDesign.
