Meeting Summary: Attractive Interactive - Back by popular demand

Edith Cowan University - Mt.Lawley

Event Details

December 5th we held our last meeting of the year.

In this meeting we welcomed quite a few new members. As usual we had our pre-meeting drinks, and Cari then provided a series of fantastic demonstrations of InDesign's interactive features.

Starting at the document set-up and slowly moving through all the different things we can do with buttons, events and actions, multistate objects, animations, timing. We saw some very cool effects build with InDesign into interactive PDF and SWF files, combining the various features to create not only various slide shows, but also interactive learning materials with pop-up windows that would provide extra explanation, roll-over effects that magically fly-in additional content... and who can forget our Video and Sound examples... A picture of a Galah and two buttons that would alternate between using 'Galah' in a sentence and listening to their squeaky calls.

It was another fun-and-information-filled Adobe InDesign event.
