Thank you to all who attended our Ottawa InDesign User Group on October 12th!

Michael Cooper of Eliquo spoke about Adobe InDesign CS 5.5 and the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite (DPS).

Michael taught us how to monetize our designs by creating compelling, interactive digital magazines which we can then distribute through digital publishing channels such as the iTunes store and Android Market.

We learned how to:

• Create vertical and horizontal layouts to accommodate tablet orientation

• Add interactive objects with tablet controls such as swipe, pinch and drag

• Use the Folio Builder to create and manage folios and articles (the native file format for InDesign Digital Magazines)

• Edit folios and add “final touches” using the Folio Producer Organizer

• Preview articles on your desktop and test interactive content before publishing

• Preview the folio on mobile devices such as the iPad

• Share the folio with others for previewing and feedback before you publish

• Use your DPS subscriber account to make your Digital Magazine publicly available for free download or purchase through the most popular channels such as the iTunes Store and Android Market
