March 27 was a monumental date for the Orlando InDesign User Group, with 3 major events occurring in one jam-packed day.
First, Chris Converse presented his “Beyond Paper” seminar for 33 attendees. This seminar was sponsored by the Orlando InDesign User Group, hosted at the Orlando Sentinel, and presented by BarryCon Productions.
As an exciting feature in the afternoon, the seminar attendees, as well as additional people from the User Group community and staff from the Orlando Sentinel, joined the live webcast for the launch of Adobe Creative Suite 3.0 from New York City! Chris then spent additional time reviewing some of the new Creative Suite features for the local group, as well.
During the evening InDesign User Group meeting, Chris kept over 80 people enthralled during his presentation, which focused on creating interactivity within InDesign files and launching those files to PDF, GoLive, and Dreamweaver. The comments from the group were very positive, and indicated that Chris’s time-saving methods were sure to be used immediately by many of the folks.

Chris also reviewed some of the new Creative Suite 3 features for the evening User Group, drawing the following comments:

“CS 3.0 preview very cool.”
About mid-way through the User Group meeting, we paused for an amazing “raffle break” where we gave away many great prizes to excited winners! We concluded our incredible day with two drawings for InDesign CS 2.0.
