The future of print is here! Spend an evening with video editor and motion graphic artist Robert McCaffrey. Professor McCaffrey will introduce you to the time-based editing tools in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects. Learn how to create stunning animated content to transform Adobe InDesign CS4 into dynamic Acrobat PDF Print and Web designs.
Our Orlando User group is entering its fifth year. This meeting is for you! Bring your laptop and work along – FREE WiFi.
You will learn how to prep static images for animation, hide cut points with full-frame and edge-on transitions, apply animated strokes to your vector designs, and use the 3D capabilities in Photoshop and After Effects to add depth to your animations.

rmccaffrey@valenciacc.edu) is an instructor and program director for Valencia’s Digital Media for Video and Motion Graphics program. He earned his Master’s in Motion Picture, Television & Recording Arts from Florida State University and worked as a writer, producer and freelance editor before he started teaching.

Our presentations are informative and focused. There will be answers to questions and you’re guaranteed to discover new methods and means to accomplish new things with your chosen toolset.
Please be sure to register so we have an accurate count for our usual pizza, and other refreshments. We offset our group meeting expenses, such as room rental and food, with proceeds from raffle tickets; please plan to purchase them. Our existence depends on your support!

Our presentations are by industry experts, local designers, authors and Adobe representatives. We explore their experiences, projects, how they did it, what programs they used and how these programs work.
The Adobe Creative Suite Applications work on both Apple and Windows platforms. Therefore, our user group is non-specific for platform and open to all those interested; we address very current and topical information.
Our Adobe InDesign User Group is a special interest group (SIG) of the Florida Macintosh User Group (FLMUG). Artists, designers, students, interested professionals or beginners, print and new media, everyone is invited. This means all of you - everyone - AIGA, AD2, American Advertising Federation, Florida Creatives, Professional Photographers Society, UCF, SCC, VCC, IADT and more!
