Note: This month we will be holding our user group meeting on a Friday night. -------------------------------------------- On Friday evening, come join us as Chris Converse walks us through new interactive and cross-media features of InDesign CS4. We'll explore techniques for creating and exporting documents directly to interactive SWF (web-ready Flash files) and PDF. Use InDesign to create compelling web advertisements and content-based promotional material. Explore the possibilities of creating presentations in InDesign instead of PowerPoint – complete with interactive elements, and additional enhancements and exporting PDF. Learn how InDesign's Cross Media export can be used to create and style web-ready images for your website in a snap. In addition, we explore Adobe's new XFL file format, which gives InDesign the ability to convert to Flash native document format. This allows us to continue to work on our document in Flash, such as adding ActionScript, video, and animating elements brought over form the original InDesign document. This presentation will inspire you to use InDesign in a much broader way and gain new production business. ========================= Agenda ========================= 6:00 - 6:50 pm: Sign in, meet, greet and eat 6:20 - 6:50 pm: InDesign Question & Answers - Mark Poulalion 6:50 - 7:00 pm: Welcome and opening announcements 7:00 - 7:50 pm: Interactive InDesign with Chris Converse part 1 7:50 - 8:00 pm: Break 8:05 - 8:50 pm: Interactive InDesign with Chris Converse part 2 8:50 - 9:00 pm: Raffles Use this meeting to job network and connect with other like minded Creative Suite users. Therefore, our user group is non-specific for platform, open to any and all interested; we address very current and topical information.

Special Saturday Seminar with Chris Converse

Building on What You Know with InDesign

========================== Date, time, and location Saturday, June 25, 2009 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM Cost: $25.00 UCF Executive Development Center Downtown 36 West Pine Street (street behind Church Street Station) Orlando, FL 32801 To Register and pay for the Saturday event: http://idugevents.com/ Directions Details http://www.indesignorlando.com ----------------------------------------------------- As technology changes rapidly, graphic design becomes more challenging to communicate messages across a widening range of mixed media. What's more challenging -- learning to create content that leverages many technologies into new and exciting projects that bring new clients, and keep old ones. The good news -- many media types are build on existing concepts and technologies you already know! Apply your knowledge for Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PDF, Flash, video, audio to new types of projects. Most likely, you are more 'ahead-of-the-curve' than you realize. This seminar will help you understand what's possible. Adobe is working hard to allow CS3 and CS4 applications communicate effectively across media types. Working between applications adds only a fraction or time to workflow and yields many new possibilities to your clients. Learn to add interactive, multimedia elements to InDesign documents for prepress work and cross-publish for web viewing. Understand how to animate existing Illustrator files in Flash, then bring them back into a PDF exported from InDesign. Take large photos from Photoshop and add a zoomable image viewing widget to a PDF with Zoomify export feature. Learn time-saving techniques for exporting images, content from InDesign, even with InDesign Effects, directly to web-ready images and HTML. Looking to go further -- learn the ease of editing video using Photoshop while editing a photograph. Fix audio noises, add or create sounds using Adobe SoundBooth. Learn to animate artwork, text and add video in Flash.
