February 19, 2008

The February 19 meeting of the New York InDesign User Group kicked off 2008 with plenty of style. That’s because style-maven Michael Murphy (www.theindesigner.com) blew the minds of over 170 attendees with his traveling SRO presentation, “Styles Equal Substance.”

Taking the premise that mastering styles is the key to InDesign nirvana, Michael showed in meticulous detail how each piece of the style puzzle fits into a greater whole that leads to page layout bliss.

Unfortunately, such a topic deserves more than two hours to do it justice. Lucky for us, Michael has prepared a beautiful 20-page handout that goes deep into the subject, explaining everything he covered, plus much more.

Thanks again to Stylin’ Mike for letting us reap the benefits of all his hard work.
