This year’s third meeting of the New York InDesign® user group was held before a standing room only of 110 attendees at the New School.
Our very special featured speaker was noted color management expert Don Hutcheson. Titled “Pain-Free Color Management,” Don’s 114-slide presentation covered all aspects of the subject, begining with an explanation of color management, its benefits, and how it works, and moving on to working with profiles, setting up and using a managed workflow in Photoshop® and InDesign, soft proofing, and finally how to actually get started with color management.
Following Don’s presentation, the evening concluded with our now-customary raffle of software and prizes. Full copies of InDesign, Photoshop Elements, Illustrator®, and Premiere® were among the items raffled off. Also given away were more great books from Peachpit Press, and two set, of Total Training DVDs for Adobe Premiere and InDesign.
