November 16, 2007
Milwaukee IDUG members enjoyed a “double-header” on Tuesday, November 6, 2007. A Leopard Launch, sponsored by Sells Printing, C2 Graphics Productivity Solutions, and GHA Technology ran from 4:005:30. The regular IDUG meeting opened with a case study focusing on using InDesign to compose textbooks. Erik P. Berg and Matt Tesch from Composure Graphics were our featured speakers. James Wamser, Sells Printing, focused on transparencies during the Pre press Puzzler segment. Finally, Rebecca Beach from Rebecca Beach Design showed the highlights and pitfalls of using the .inx export for opening documents in earlier versions. She also showed how to customize InDesign application preferences for individual work settings. The meeting concluded with door prizes, and one lucky attendee won CS3 Standard and Leopard software.
Member feedback:
“Good balance of exposure to what people are doing today with InDesign. Great technical advice.”
“I liked the variety of speakers with working world experience.”
“I always find something worthwhile in any presentation.”
“Good snacks, good presenters, good prizes, and good info!”
