The September meeting of the Milwaukee InDesign® user group included a review of many InDesign plug-ins. We talked about using these software add-ons with the main Adobe application to enhance creativity and productivity with capabilities not otherwise available in InDesign. Cathy Palmer, InDesign application certified expert and instructor for C2 Graphics Productivity Solutions in Madison, presented strategies to take demo versions for a test-drive, compare different plug-ins that offer similar features and functions, and find the latest, greatest InDesign plug-ins available.

This was a presentation similar to that given to the Wisconsin Publishers’ Production Club on September 21 in Pewaukee. The “Adobe InDesign Productivity Plug-ins” handout is available below.

There was a small turnout (probably due to the beautiful late-summer weather), so the attendees had a great chance of winning a door prize! Generous donations from Adobe and several third-party plug-in vendors allowed the users to win some of the cool software that we tested and tried during the meeting.
