Noha Edell’s grand slam presentation was the highlight of the June 22, Milwaukee InDesign User Group meeting. The meeting began with a Milwaukee-style tailgate party—with all the trimmings. Then, 55 members were held spellbound as Noha presented the book functions of InDesign. One member commented that he loved Noha’s rapier wit and asked for an encore. Door prizes included an assortment of books focusing on large document and book production, as well as a copy of InDesign CS4.
Many thanks to the Document Doctors, James Wamser and James Fritz, who examined problem files before the meeting. (Members, remember to bring your ailing files to each meeting and let these experts diagnose the problems.)
The game was almost called on account of a power outage that knocked out the air conditioning for the facility. Not being wimps, these Wisconsinites showed their true colors as the temperature inside the room continued to climb. Without complaint, they endured the sweltering heat and demonstrated that neither heat, nor cold, nor power outage can stop this group from having a great time!
