Melbourne InDesign User Group

Meeting Notes Archive

12 December, 2007

We ended the fabulous year of 2007 with an exciting meeting on the most requested topic – Type and Typography. A cosy crowd of 70 enthusiastic members gathered at RMIT’s International Centre of Graphic Technology for a holistic presentation by Sarah Jones.

We kicked off the meeting with a fabulous episode of Mike McHugh’s Creative Sweet TV youtube video, especially made for the Melbourne InDesign User Group. We then launched right into the thick of it with Sarah flaunting the various typographical controls in InDesign, both the familiar and the not-so-familiar. Type is indeed a popular topic as the crowd began tossing questions (and answers) around. What a lively discussion we had going!

The night ended in true IDUG fashion with a fantastic prize giveaway and light snacks to go around.
