Melbourne InDesign User GroupMeeting Notes Archive
April 18, 2007
An impressive crowd of 80 eager InDesign enthusiasts filled RMIT University’s auditorium to celebrate the recent release of Adobe Creative Suite 3. Without keeping our attendees in suspense any longer, Michael Stoddart from Adobe took the stage and mesmerised us all with the spanking new features of CS3 including Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge and Device Central.
Not to be outdone, Mike McHugh (newly nicknamed McSpicy) brought it home with his rendition of InDesign CS3. And to complete the IDUG experience, we wrapped the night up with Q&As, prizes and light snacks to go around.
What our members have to say about the meeting:
“Awesome - all the useful little time-saving tips we need!”
“I want one! Gimme gimme gimme! CS3 is McSpicy!”
“Yet again, the discovery and tips + hints are ... Wow!!!”
“... This is just a fab whistle-stop tour introduction to whet our appetites. Good format and content. Don’t change it!”
“Both presenters were knowledgeable and happy - wanting to share, and know how to present - like a tag-team!”
“Great presentations again. Both Michael and Mike were very entertaining and informative. Thanks Tricia.”
A huge thank you to all who came along, and a special thanks to Michael Stoddart, Mike McHugh, Billy Atta, Colin Ong, Joanna Ooi, and our friends at Aquent Melbourne.
If you’re left wanting more of Mike, be sure to check out his website www.mchugh.com.au for more InDesign tips and tricks.
