Event Details

This meeting was cause for a double-celebration as it marked the new beginnings of Adobe CS4 as well as the 2nd year anniversary of the Melbourne InDesign User Group. After some drinks and snacks, Adobe’s Mike McHugh wasted no time in introducing our eager audiences to the new features in Adobe CS4.

For the first time, the InDesign User Group members were given a glimpse into the world of video/audio production and editing. Next on the list were the new features in web production and how they can help improve productivity and encourage more efficient workflows. Mike then moved onto more familiar ground with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and blew us all away with the various Photoshop live, non-destructive corrections with the Adjustments panel, enhanced Auto-Align feature, improved Auto-Blend; Illustrator’s multiple artboards and transparency in gradients; and InDesign’s new Live Preflight panel, customizable Links panel and ability to export to Adobe Flash CS4.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

After a quick round of questions (and answers) about the latest features, we held a prize giveaway and 5 lucky members walked away with some fantastic prize, including Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium!
