Christmas is coming early to the InDesign Users in Melbourne this year!
We have read all your topic requests and we will be ending the year with the MOST requested topic – Type and Typography! There’s no surprise how and why Type made it to the top of the wanted list.
Sarah Jones of RMIT’s International Centre of Graphic Technology will be giving us the low-down on the familiar and the not-so-familiar:
- The Type Palette
- OpenType
- Glyphs
- Bullet and numbered lists
- Special characters, white space, break characters
This is one meeting that all InDesign users, newbies through to gurus, will find entertaining and informative!

About the speaker
Sarah Jones has had a varied history in the prepress and design industry. She currently teaches at RMIT's International Centre of Graphic Technology on Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, typography, imposition, design among others.
Prior to her full-time teaching stint at RMIT, she ran a graphic design and prepress business and won gold at the International Worldskills Competition in Switzerland in the Graphic Design Category (www.worldskills.org.au). She is now a regional & national judge and competition writer for the graphic prepress category.
