Meeting details
Not gonna tackle Color Management this time, but will cover how to specify and use colors in InDesign and across the Adobe Creative Suite.
We'll learn: - when it's OK to use the Color Panel - how to share your Swatches with others - the hidden snag in the default Gradients setup - how to create and keep track of Tints - the best uses for a Multi-Ink Swatch - converting those lingering spot colors to process - how to map colors to other inks at output
After the break, we'll be introduced to Pantone's GOE system, a new way of specifying colors. How is this compatible with the PMS color system we all know? How does this work in the Adobe CS3 applications? Join us and find out!
Then we'll take a look at kuler online. This experimental technology from Adobe has evolved enough to be linked into the CS3 apps. Find out the latest color trends or just get some colorful inspiration, and integrate kuler color schemes into your designs.
We'll wrap up with a raffle drawing of colorful design-related books and software from our sponsors. There will also be a special prize for the MOST COLORFUL member attending, and a free doorprize drawing. The raffle is our only fundraiser to cover the cost of meetings, and is the way that we can keep the events free of charge for our members, so plan to buy LOTS of raffle tickets!
