Meeting Summary: Using InDesign for Perfect Print Production

What a lively meeting we had on March 2! Twenty-one IDUG members, along with some welcome new comers spent the evening talking InDesign with our honored guest, James Wamser, on loan to us from the IDUG Milwaukee chapter.

James missed the Milwaukee chapter meeting on the same night to join us, and had a really great time! He brought plenty of new things to show us, as well as challenge our knowledge of print production. Our members had plenty of questions for James too! Everyone pitched in and we found answers together, as well as renewed our interest in InDesign's print power! We could have talked all night, but, sadly, all good things must come to an end.

We were thrilled to welcome back Madison's original Chapter Rep, Cathy Palmer. Cathy and Maribeth will be combining their efforts to keep this exciting IDUG group going from here on out! We welcome your thoughts and ideas for future events. We are also open to questions, so don't hesitate to call on us.

Both Cathy and Maribeth gave short presentations at the end of the evening. There was just too much wonderful stuff to cover and only one night to cover it! We had to save something for the next meeting!

Before the night was over, we gave away some awesome prizes such as a ticket to the e-pub webinar everyone is talking about, and a full version of InDesign CS5! James threw some additional "goodies" into the pile, including an InDesign poster, and a free seat to the "InDesingSecrets.com Live" presentation on April 12 with James Fritz. Congratulations to all our winners, especially Jason Kivela, Wanda Little, and Jane Sutter. WOW! What a great evening this turned out to be!
