Los Angeles InDesign User Group

Welcome to the Los Angeles Chapter of the InDesign User Group.
With one of the largest Markets of Talent, Skill, Creativity and Overall Passion for Media Distributed Materials, this User Group has to set the standard for Adobe User Groups and accept Challenges most Chapters will not have to deal with. Our Demographics and Geography require that we always push to find ingenious ways to keep information disseminated to the members.

Our next meeting will be at the Art Center in Pasadena, a location know by few but recognized by many. This shows the level of understanding and support we have for not just the technical aspects of the tools we use, but also “Having the right tool for the right job.”

This meeting will be the beginning of my plan to create the most informed User Group in the Adobe User Group Community. Through Informative Meeting, Block Buster Events, and Superior Staff and Resources, 2008 IDUGLA will work to be the Top Rated User Group, all others will admire and aspire to become.

Now that you have seen what IDCS3 is all about, please join us as Lisa Forrester explores the new features in Adobe Illustrator CS3 and Photoshop Extended CS3. Take a look at these new versions and their integration within Adobe Creative Suite 3. Watch as Lisa shows us new opportunities to increase your creativity and productivity. If you are interested in seeing the newest features, you won't want to miss this meeting.

Even if you are still using the CS2 products and saying "I'm not ready to upgrade!" I want to assure you that our user group is not going to suddenly move forward and not look back. However, we do want to demonstrate the capabilities of latest version of the application.

As always, the evening will conclude with the group's customary raffle of valuable software, books and prizes.

North on 110 Freeway to Pasadena, about
three miles past Dodger Stadium to Orange
Grove Boulevard exit [L]; go two miles to
Holly Street signal [L], to Linda Vista [R] (you
will be entering a residential area); continue
for two miles to Lida Street signal [L].*

From Santa Monica Area
East on 10 Freeway to North 110 Freeway
to Pasadena, then follow directions from
downtown Los Angeles.

From LAX Area
North on 405 Freeway, east on 10 Freeway
to North 110 Freeway to Pasadena, then
follow directions from downtown Los Angeles.

From Burbank/South San FernandoValley Area
East on 134 Freeway through Glendale, exit on
Linda Vista, follow signs posted [R, L, R], and
continue for two miles to Lida Street signal [L].*
From North San Fernando Valley Area
East on 210 Freeway, exit Berkshire [L], at first
signal [R]; follow “Rose Bowl” signs, curve to
the [R], follow Linda Vista [L] to Lida Street
signal [R].*

From Orange County Area
North on 605 Freeway to West 210 to West
134 Freeway, exit Orange Grove; go straight to
next signal [R] on Linda Vista (you will be entering
a residential area); follow for two miles to Lida
Street signal [L].*

*Continue on Lida Street to the top of the hill. You will see the Art Center sign on your left. Follow the street all the way to the student parking lot and enter from the South Entrance.
