Event Details

It makes a real change to be able to sit out in the garden and write a wrap-up message -- I hope that we're all finding something other than page layout tasks to do during the current warm spell!

I don't know if it was the weather, the topic, or perhaps both but we easily had our best attended meeting to date -- we ran out of pizza (by a couple of slices), evaluation forms (by just one), and there was not an empty seat to be had, despite us laying out more than we thought we'd need!

You all seemed to enjoy the presentations, and the feedback was very positive as always. Nice to see that the Colour management talked has promoted some debate and that's something we can go into further at a later stage.

Rob's book, "Practical Colour Management," is available as a free digital download (or physical copy for £6.99) at http://www.nativedigital.co.uk/shop/product.php/790/practical-colour-management - it's a very worthwhile read.

A few of you were lucky enough to go home with prizes, the top three being:
John Stuttle - Dreamweaver CS5
Simon Kemp - Eye One display calibrator (donated by Native Digital)
Derick Thomas - InDesign Magazine subscription

Keep hold of your raffle tickets -- remember you get one for every evaluation form returned this year, and additional tickets for helping out plus other opportunities. The raffle will be drawn at Christmas for a copy of the Design Premium Suite and the more tickets you have, the better your chances of winning!
Don't forget that Native Digital also have a couple of promotional offers for IDUG members -- quote MAGENTA on any order over £100 for a discount and you can also get yourself an Eye One 2 for £99 + VAT (contact them for details).

We have got loads planned for the coming months, so stay tuned! I've set up a Facebook Fan Page for the London IDUG: http://bit.ly/cC4fla and of course we're on Twitter: http://twitter.com/londonIDUG.

Thank you

Thanks to Rob Griffith for coming out to talk to us and to his company, Native Digital (http://nativedigital.co.uk) for supplying us with a raffle prize to boot!

We are grateful as always to the great support we receive from Adobe, especially for the loan of such great facilities.

Our good friends at Adobe Authorised training Centre, Academy Class not only once again did us proud with a super spread of yummy hot food and cold drinks to settle those rumbling tummies, but also sent along three staff members who helped out, too. Don't forget to check out their great offers on training: http://www.academyclass.co.uk if you want to get up to warp speed on any Adobe apps.
