In this meeting, Gabriel Powell href="http://www.instantindesign.com/">(InstantInDesign.com) will teach you how to convert an InDesign file into an EPUB file that can be read on a computer, smartphone, or dedicated eBook reader such as the Apple iPad and Amazon Kindle.

An eBook is the digital media equivalent of a conventional printed book. By converting InDesign publications to eBooks, publishers can reach a much larger audience. As more and more publications are being digitally consumed, it's now more important than ever to learn how to create eBooks.

Gabriel will first introduce you to the EPUB file format and explain how it is different from PDF-based eBooks. Then he'll give you step-by-step instructions on how to properly setup an InDesign document that can be successfully converted to an EPUB file. After the break, Gabriel is going to dissect an EPUB file and show you how to make basic edits to its various components. If you have a basic understanding of HTML and CSS, you're already well on your way to understanding EPUB files.
