Interactive PDF - Erica Gamet, Co-Chair InDesign User Group Denver; InDesign Trainer
Come and learn how to take your InDesign-created PDFs to the next level! Erica will show you how to add interactive elements to your InDesign files to become part of the "create once, distribute everywhere" school of thought. From embedding movies to creating rollovers and buttons, you'll see how the InDesign process doesn't have to end at the printed page.
Acrobat 9 Special Features - Jeff Gamet, Managing Editor, The Mac Observer; Co-Host, Design Tools Weekly podcast
Jeff will show us a few of the best designer-centric features that are part of Acrobat 9. He will highlight those features that will become an extension of what we, as InDesign users, do: create and share our creations with others.
Looking for New Members
One of our main goals for 2008 is to have 50+ in attendance at our meetings. Let's show the country that Denver is full of creative people who enjoy getting together and discussing topics we're passionate about, like InDesign. If you get excited talking about what makes InDesign such a valuable tool in your creative professional's toolbox...chances are you know other people that are the same way.
Let's all figure out who in our circle of friends, associates, co-workers, etc. would enjoy coming to an IDUG meeting and get the word out to those people! Our group is only going to grow through the efforts of each and every one of our members, so "Spread the word"! If you bring a friend to the next meeting, you'll receive $5 Auction Bucks to use toward any auction item. If you don't know how to ask someone to attend, just use the Invite a Friend link under the meeting details.
The first meeting we have 50+ in attendance, we will be giving away via raffle the entire Creative Suite for free! So...bring a friend...what are you waiting for?
Auctions
Our auctions continue to be a fun way to raise money for our group. The proceeds from the auctions pay for the venue, the food, and any other items that are needed to be of benefit to the group. The group is wholly user-supported and we can't thank our members enough for the support that you've shown.
After-Meeting Get-together
Don't forget: We will be meeting after the regular meeting at The Exchange Tavern. We can continue discussing great design, looking at portfolios, and continue to network and getting to know each other. They have great food, specialty coffees, and free wi-fi. Please join us after the meeting for bonus networking!
