On the heels of Adobe’s announcement about Creative Suite 3, Lisa Forrester flew in from Colorado on April 10 to give the Dallas InDesign User Group a preview of all the new products in the suite. Her challenge? Deliver all that information in only an hour and a half.

First, it was a quick tour of what the new product bundles would include. Members looked pretty overwhelmed trying to analyze the product matrix, but fortunately Adobe posted a product selector tool on their website to help customers.

Members had an opportunity to see the new features of InDesign CS3, and how it works with its sibling products Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Dreamweaver. The multi-place feature was a huge hit with IDUG members, and a surprise is the inclusion of Photoshop’s graphic styles as a new Effects palette in InDesign.
