The May meeting will begin with Adobe InDesign trivia slides and a few You Tube videos for design inspiration. Our main presentation about GREP will be given by Marvin Sable. Marvin will introduce users to the concept of GREP and show you how to use GREP to your advantage while working in InDesign. GREP (short for General Regular-Expression Print) is a powerful tool that lets you use wildcards (jokers) to search and replace text. The Find/Change dialog box in both Adobe InDesign CS3 and CS4 allow you to do "GREP" searches. For example, you can use a GREP search to find all instances of multiple returns in a story or document and change them to a single return with one click. Marvin, an Adobe Certified Expert in Adobe InDesign CS4, has been a principal of Network Laser Art since 1986, and specializes in marketing materials and promotional products. Marvin is a self-taught Adobe Suite user and has used InDesign since its inception. Tips and Acrobat Form Review: April Clark, Cleveland Adobe InDesign User Group Co-Chair Representative, will conclude the meeting with additional InDesign tips. She will also review the process of viewing the online evaluation forms that were completed in the March meeting. The Gund Building is located at the corner of East Blvd. and Bellflower (near the Cleveland Museum of Art). Enter the door from the parking lot and follow the signs to the Ohio Bell Auditorium. =================== Parking information =================== You can park for free in the parking lot. There are two entrances to the parking lot. Both gates should be open by 6pm but enter off Bellflower if the East Blvd. gate is still closed. Street and meter parking are additional options.
