The best meeting I've been to yet.
Chuck Wilson
On Tuesday, January 27th, almost 50 people gathered at the Cleveland Institute of Art to get a first-hand look at creating Interactive Content from InDesign CS4.
April Clark, Co-Chapter Representative, showed how to add buttons, hyperlinks, and page transitions to an InDesign page, and then export to either PDF or SWF.
She also showed a small bit of Adobe Flash CS4 while explaining the new file format (XFL) that allows InDesign files to open directly into Flash.
One web site that shows off a magazine using the cool new page turn effect can be found here: http://www.astronomy.com
Members enjoyed Valentino's pizza and we raffled off a full version of Creative Suite 3 Design Premium as well as a version of Adobe InDesign CS3.
Thank you to the Communication Design department at Cleveland Institute of Art for sponsoring us and giving us our meeting space. Thanks to Mari Hulick, April Clark, and Pat Lally for setting up the meeting and helping with registration.
