Adobe Creative Suite 4 Launch Meeting in Cleveland!

We had over 100 people at our Adobe Creative Suite 4 Launch meeting in Cleveland on September 25th. Adam Pratt from Adobe Systems did a spectacular job presenting the latest features of CS4. Adam showed demos on Photoshop's content-aware scaling, Adjustments panel, and 3D interactivity. We saw Illustrator's new multiple artboards, the new Blob Brush tool, and the transparency in gradients feature. Adam demonstrated the newest Adobe InDesign CS4 features including: Live Preflight, improved Links panel, spread rotation, smart guides, and smart spacing. He also demoed how to export an InDesign file to Adobe Flash CS4.

This event was a combined user group meeting. Special thanks to Brian Meloche, chair of the Cleveland Coldfusion User Group, Mike Cooper of the Cleveland Adobe User Group, and the Cleveland Digital Publishing User Group for your participation.

With three Adobe-sponsored user groups combined we were able to raffle off a large number of books, Adobe CS4 "Shortcut to Brilliant" t-shirts, and a full version of Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium. Plus, stickers for everyone!

Extra special thanks to Adam Pratt from Adobe for making time to come to Cleveland only two days after Adobe's announcement of CS4. This means Cleveland was one of the first cities in the world to see a live presentation of the Creative Suite 4 features.

Thanks to Mari Hulick and the Cleveland Institute of Art for once again providing us with excellent facilities for the meeting.
