Meeting details
We're on a roll and ready to get another meeting going. At this meeting, we will have two presenters covering two under-used but very powerful features in InDesign — interactive PDF elements and data merge.
Interactive PDF Elements
Mary Belthoff, from doubleclick first, llc will demonstrate how to create an interactive PDF in Adobe Indesign CS3. There are several features, such as the Button tool, that will transform your printed document or web design ideas into an interactive document.
The interactive features may be links that let Acrobat Reader move from one page to another, hyperlinks utilized in a Web page, bookmarks used for navigational tools, and rollover buttons that can play movies or sounds in a PDF document.
Data Merge
Mat Gilbert from Mobile Mac Training will be demonstrating Data Merge. This feature will make customized direct mail pieces, ads, brochures a simple (or at least simpler than customizing by hand) task.
