Event DetailsSo, we postponed the February 9th meeting because of snow that didn’t happen, for February 23 when it did. But our members, great as they are, braved the bad weather and horrendous construction to make it to the meeting.
Our night started off with the usual (but very large) pizzas, questions, networking and registration. We answered a few technical questions before moving on to the presentations for the night. Mat Gilbert presented the second part of taking an InDesign document further into Dreamweaver. Here he showed the best ways to optimize images, export information and fix it up in Dreamweaver to make the HTML pages look like web pages. He showed the pitfalls and the pluses on choosing this workflow.
Next, Alison Cattelona took her layout exported from InDesign into Flash and added some flash. Adding motion tweens, creating presets, creating invisible buttons and a little ActionScript showed how, if not simple, how it wasn’t terribly difficult to make a cool Flash website or component for an HTML website.
