Making InDesign fit your workflow through extension and enhancement In this workshop we talk about recognising bottlenecks in your InDesign workflow, and how they can be remedied by use of simple scripts. We'll learn how to adjust existing scripts, and how to build some simple scripts from scratch. The accent will be on InDesign CS3 and CS4, but much is also applicable to earlier versions of InDesign. We'll also see demos of the various Rorohiko plug-ins, most of which are available for download at no cost; these tools will make your life a lot easier! Kris Coppieters from Rorohiko Ltd. http://www.rorohiko.com Rorohiko Ltd. provides both shrink-wrapped software and custom software solutions. Our solutions pay for themselves in record time, often in a few months time. Kris has been involved with software development, mainly for the printing and publishing industry, for about three decades. The last five years, he's been working a lot with Adobe products - InDesign, Acrobat, Flex,... Kris is specialized in process consultancy - marrying information science, common sense, people skills and social skills, as to build business processes and systems that work. The printing and publishing industry is one of those industries where creative people and technical people must work closely together. To build pragmatical solutions, one needs to be able to grasp both the left- and right-brained way of thinking, in order to understand and translate between both sides. At the same time, one should always take into account other factors like budget, time line, available technologies, preferred technologies, and many other factors. That's an area where Kris feels right at home. ========================= Agenda ========================= 6.15pm Arrive for Nibblies and Drinks 6.45pm Presentation from Kris 8.15pm Questions and Prize draw 8.30pm End the evening informed
