Event DetailsThough it was later in the year than usual Brisbane's Indesign User group was like meeting up with old friend's. For this reason it was easier for me to present my favourite and not so favourite plug-ins, scripts, and action slides.
I went through what I and some reviewers thought were the best, most affordable, or just downright timesaving examples. Below is a PDF of the slides that I went through with all the addresses for the companies, not just for InDesign but also Illustrator and Photoshop.
In the end, as is often the case now with the Brisbane IDUG meetings, people are able to contribute their own latest discoveries, and in our midst we have some geniuses of scripts and other goodies they have made. They were kind enough to show us, and allowed us to also include them in the download below, so check it out. Also check out Iain Anderson's funwithstuff.com blog and website for more great tricks.
After a bit of fun and laughter (which also included a lot of new faces, whom I hope to see at future events) we had a sneak peak at CS5. And it really was a sneak peak -- there was a lot of fast-forwarding to the really good bits (well, we did only have 30 mins to cover as much as possible), and I think it will be great to show off the full experience CS5 has to offer, at our next meeting. (So keep June 9 available.) I hope everyone now has the bug -- the CS5 enthusiasm bug, that is!
