The evening began with Lawrence Horwitz of Teacup Software who presented, via Acrobat Connect, three of his amazing InDesign plug-ins: TableStyles and CellStyles, BarcodeMaker, and PatternMaker. For more information on these excellent products, please visit www.teacupsoftware.com. 

Up next were Caleb Clauset and Chandi Perera from Typefi Systems, who demonstrated Typefi Publish, which is a revolutionary, scriptless automated publishing platform built on Adobe InDesign Server. For more information, go to http://www.typefi.com. 

Finally, Noha Edell of Adobe Systems shared an overview of InCopy CS2, a professional writing and editing program that tightly integrates with InDesign. For an in-depth look at InCopy, please visit www.adobe.com/products/incopy/indepth.html.

The evening ended with an exciting raffle. Among the items given away were copies of BarcodeMaker and TableStyles and CellStyles from Teacup Software (www.teacupsoftware.com), great books from O'Reilly Publishers (www.oreilly.com) and Peachpit Press, Total Training DVDs, and the top prize, a copy of Adobe InDesign CS2, given by Adobe.

We published a list of potential topics for future meetings as well as volunteer opportunities. Both of these lists reflect a different way in which we are trying to answer the members’ needs and requests and encouraging everyone’s participation to help make this a dynamic, member-run and member-driven group.
