Is print really dead?
No, but “print only”
is dead. The conversion of print products to web products is now essential to keeping the printed word alive. If you are not using electronic media in conjunction with print, your message may be lost.
Adobe InDesign CS4 has taken a leap forward to ensure that the work you design for print can be re-purposed for the web. Join us for our next quarterly meeting (topic: From InDesign to Web) to get an in-depth look at interactivity features of InDesign CS4 from Adobe’s own Jerome (Jerry) Silverman.
Jerry’s presentation will cover the following topics:
- Best practices when using InDesign CS4 to export HTML/CSS for websites
- InDesign’s ability to create Flash-based buttons, menus, navigation, and effects
- A sneak peek into Adobe’s future plans for helping print designers embrace the web
In the event of inclement weather, Jerry will give his presentation via the web. Details on how to log on and participate will be available as we approach our meeting date. Please check back here for updated information.
If you were one of the lucky prizewinners in our inaugural meeting, please come prepared to share at least one useful tidbit you learned from your prize with the group.
Remember, we want to hear about your projects too! Share Your Shorts! with us by sending a PDF (under 5 MB) of no more than 15 of your images and a brief project description to IDUG.GreaterBaltimore@gmail.com, and your project may be selected for an upcoming meeting.
We hope you can join us!
